Dr. Saibu Mutaru
President
Dr. Saibu Mutaru is a distinguished academic currently serving as President of the BACE Alumni Association. In this role, he acts as the primary link between the Alumni Association and the College, representing the Association in the College's Governing Council. He also sits on the Appointments and Promotions Committee (APC) of the College Council. Dr. Mutaru's academic credentials include a Cert 'A' from Bagabaga College of Education (2002), a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Ghana (2007), and a Master of Science degree in Africa and International Development from the University of Edinburgh, UK (2012). He earned his PhD in Social Anthropology from Stellenbosch University, South Africa in 2019. As a renowned social anthropologist, Dr. Mutaru specializes in ethnographic fieldwork, focusing on witchcraft and occult beliefs. His PhD dissertation, "Naming the Witch, Housing the Witch and Living with Witchcraft: An Ethnography of Ordinary Lives in Northern Ghana's Witch Camps," showcases his research expertise. Dr. Mutaru has delivered prestigious lectures, including the Evans-Pritchard Lectures at the University of Oxford, UK (2024). He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Anthropology at the University of Cape Coast, contributing significantly to the field of social anthropology.

Vice President
Mr. Abdul Rashid Yahaya currently holds the position of Vice President of the Bagabaga College of Education Alumni Association and Chairman of the Private Schools Association, Tamale. As an accomplished educationist, entrepreneur, and consultant, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his roles. Mr. Abdul Rashid’s academic background includes a Teacher's Cert 'A' from Bagabaga College of Education, a BA in Political Science from the University of Ghana, and an MPhil in Development Studies from the University for Development Studies (UDS). He is presently pursuing his PhD at UDS, Tamale, Ghana. As a Teaching Assistant at UDS, Mr. Adul Rashid instructs courses on political marketing and political economy. With a proven track record as a youth activist, motivational speaker, and community developer, he is committed to fostering meaningful collaborations in education and community development. Mr. Abdul Rashid’s approach is characterized by simplicity and practicality, utilizing Ghana-focused examples to bridge the gap between theory and everyday life. His passion for education and community development is evident in his work, and he remains open to opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Mr. Isaac Azumah Gonyalug serves as the General Secretary of the BACE Alumni Association, where he oversees secretariat duties and promotes the association and College. A proud member of the 1998-year group, he is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Science at Bagabaga College of Education, a position he has held since 2006. Mr. Isaac’s academic credentials include an MPhil in Science Education, an MEd, and a BEd in Science from the University of Education, Winneba. He also holds a Post Secondary Teacher's Certificate ‘A’ and is currently pursuing his PhD in Chemistry Education at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (Nigeria). With over 25 years of teaching experience spanning basic to college levels, Mr. Isaac has held various leadership positions, including head of department and unit, academic counsellor, hall warden, and chair of CETAG BACE and the Northern Zone. He is a member of CETAG National Council and serves as a patron for three student groups. Mr. Isaac has collaborated with esteemed organizations such as T-TEL, Edify Ghana, School for Life, Edmat Ghana, JICA, and NTC in training, advisory, and examination roles. His research interests include chemistry and science education, teacher training, inquiry and collaborative learning, professional development, and research.

Mr. Daniel Kombiok is a distinguished educationist and development economist, driven by a profound passion for teaching, research, policy, and economic development. He currently holds the position of Treasurer of the BACE Alumni Association, where he plays a pivotal role in fostering alumni engagement and supporting the college's educational initiatives. Mr. Daniel's academic background is marked by an MPhil and MA in Development Economics, a B.Ed. in Accounting and Mathematics from SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies, University for Development Studies, and Valley View University, respectively. He also holds a Diploma in Basic Education from Bagabaga College of Education (2007-2010). Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Development Economics, with a focus on hard and local currency debt composition in Sub-Saharan Africa. A seasoned educator, Mr. Daniel has over a decade of experience teaching economics at Gushegu SHS and Kalpohin SHS. He presently works with Tema Oil Refinery Ltd. in Greater Accra and operates a consultancy specializing in research and financial management. Through his work, he provides actionable solutions to businesses, students, and development organizations, underscoring his commitment to education, economic growth, and public service.

Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal is a seasoned educationist with over two decades of dedicated service in the teaching profession. He holds a Master of Education (M.Ed) in Higher Administration from the University of Cape Coast, as well as a Diploma in Basic Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Basic Mathematics from the University of Education, Winneba. His academic journey began with a Certificate 'A' from Bagabaga College of Education, which laid the foundation for his illustrious career. Currently, Mr. Awal teaches at Zogbeli D Junior High School and serves as the Public Relations Officer of the Bagabaga College of Education Alumni Association. He is a strong advocate for excellence in education, effective communication, and professional integrity, and is committed to promoting these values in all his endeavors.

Mr. Dumbo Halidu Ibrahim is a renowned educationist and leader, currently serving as the Deputy General Secretary of the BACE Alumni Association. His impressive academic credentials include a Certificate in the Teaching of French from the University of Lomé, Togo, a Diploma in Basic Education from Bagabaga College of Education, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Social Work from the University of Ghana, Legon, a Bachelor of Education degree in English Language from Valley View University, and a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration and Management from the University of Education, Winneba. With over a decade of experience as an educator, Mr. Dumbo has taught English Language and French Language in basic schools, demonstrating his dedication to quality education and child development. His leadership abilities have earned him prominent roles, including his current position as Headmaster and Deputy Director of Bagabaga College of Education Model School. In addition to his academic and administrative responsibilities, Mr. Dumbo operates a consultancy in education and is a school proprietor, further exemplifying his commitment to enhancing education in his community. His unwavering passion for quality education and child development drives his work, and he continues to have a profound impact on the lives of students and educators alike.

Yakubu Jacob Fuseini, affectionately known as J.Y., is a respected education professional who currently serves as the Coordinating Secretary of the alumni association. With over 31 years of teaching experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role, underpinned by his background in Post Harvest Technology and demonstrated proficiency in landscape management. Mr. J.Y. is renowned for his exceptional ability to work effectively under pressure, coupled with his outstanding interpersonal skills. He holds a 3-year Post-secondary Education Certificate from Bagabaga College of Education, Tamale, a 4-year B.Ed in Agricultural Education from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), and a Master of Philosophy degree in Postharvest Technology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. J.Y. has held various leadership positions, including Research and Publication Coordinator, Head of Department (Vocational and Technical Education), and Acting Principal of Bagabaga College of Education. He currently serves as an Assistant Lecturer at the college and as the Dean of Students' Affairs, while also coordinating the UEW's Distance and E-Learning Centre in Tamale. His academic contributions are evident in his eight publications, which demonstrate his commitment to advancing knowledge in his field.
