Bagabaga College of Education (BACE) formally called “BATCO” was established in 1944 with the vision “to become the best Teacher Education Institution in the northern Sector by all Standards, and as one of the best in Ghana and recognised in the West African sub-region”. I share this vision as the Principal of the College. This will be achieved by engendering a competitive learning spirit and motivation that engages and equips both students and staff with the requisite knowledge, skills, and values for a productive career in the teaching profession.

This track specifically prepares teachers to instruct learners in Primary 4 (P4) to Primary 6 (P6)—covering the upper levels of Ghana’s primary school system.
JHS Education
This programme enables trainees to become specialist subject teachers who are qualified to teach at the JHS level after graduation
