The Department is home to Social Studies and Religious and moral education. It is one of the six departments within the College. The courses in this Department are designed to equip the student with relevant knowledge, requisite skills and desirable attitudes and values. With these variables, the student-teachers become critical thinkers, competent and concerned individuals in the College, community and the larger society.

The vision for the department is to produce reflective, responsible and patriotic individuals who are capable and willing to contribute to their advancement and national development.

The mission is to prepare, equip and produce students who will be sensitive to the social and physical environments, and transmit the needed information and skills to the young ones at the Basic Education level.
