Art, imagination and scholarship converged at the Kwame Nkrumah Centenary Library of Bagabaga College of Education as eighteen Level 300 Visual Arts students transformed its front façade into a vibrant gallery of ideas. Through colour, geometry and symbolism, the students produced three breathtaking mural paintings that celebrate the spirit of learning, creativity and intellectual discovery.
Executed as part of their Mid-Semester Examination for Studio Practice in Graphic Design during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, the murals present compelling library themes in captivating abstract forms. Each masterpiece, measuring 5 feet by 10 feet in portrait orientation, invites viewers into a world where books become bridges to knowledge and imagination finds expression through art.
More than decorative works, the murals stand as visual narratives of education, collaboration and innovation, breathing new life into the walls of the Kwame Nkrumah Centenary Library. Conceived and executed under the supervision of the course lecturer, Mr. Macharious Nabang, the project challenged students to translate ideas into large-scale public art while demonstrating their technical skills, creativity and appreciation of visual storytelling.
